“Season’s Greetings to all at Haven Court, just a quick line to let you know we received a handmade xmas card from Mam with a photo enclosed.
“This is the first for many years (as Mam was having difficulty writing and also the logistics involved in posting a card to us became too onerous), so it was a wonderful surprise. The photo was also very welcome. The card was beautiful and it was great to see that Mam was engaging in craft work. (She had of course received a lot of help as the calligraphy was of a very high standard indeed).
“Could you oblige and please pass on our thanks to the kind staff involved, their thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated and it quite made our day.

“I was chatting to Mam on the phone yesterday and she told me all about the wonderful time you all had given her on her birthday last Thursday. She had a fabulous time and was so grateful how the Haven Court staff had gone out of their way to give her such a super birthday. She thoroughly enjoyed her excursion and hotel meal, the decorations, cakes etc.
